CCARL.com
Citizens Campaigning Against Renegade Legislators

"We're not giving up and we're not going away"

What's it going to take?
It's going to take a
CITIZENS' UPRISING!
Join us as we visit the commissioners.

Because that is what it is going to take to get their attention!

The citizens of CCARL.com have begun our campaign to go and personally visit each of the Commissioners at their homes.
We will be going to visit them at their homes repeatedly until the final vote is taken.
We will be leaving hand-written messages when we visit.

We are asking each and every one of you to do the same.
You can go on your own with friends and family,

or you can join with us when we make a scheduled visit.

These visits are fun, and there is power and unity in numbers, and the added bonus is that we are disrupting the business-as-usual (and politics-as-usual) lives of these disrespectful and arrogant commissioners. They would prefer that we just give up and go away. They would prefer that they be allowed to give Carl Pohlad 30 years' worth of your hard-earned money, and they would prefer that you don't have any say in the matter.  We find their contemptuous and condescending attitudes towards the taxpayers of Hennepin County to be quite objectionable. They seem to have forgotten just who it is that they were elected to represent. Join with us as we show up to remind them.

Below is our current schedule. If you are available and would like to join in, please stand with us. Bring extra people with you if you can.  Bring handwritten letters with you to leave with the commissioners. Also, bring some letters from people who may not be able to come with, but who would really like the commissioners to know what they are thinking.

What to say in your letter: If you signed the petition, use those thoughts. Just let them know your thoughts and feelings about this issue and what you think about their attitudes towards the taxpayers.

IMPORTANT NOTE: CCARL.com will not and does not condone in any way, shape, manner, or fashion any and all vulgar, violent, disrespectful, hostile, threatening, or illegal actions, language, or written messages. We know it is difficult, but we are doing our best to keep it civil, and we ask you to do the same.

This is it folks, the last two weekend days left!

In the meantime, what else you can do (complete information available from the links on our home page):

  1. If you cannot join us on a scheduled visit, we encourage you to go and visit the commissioners on your own, -- at YOUR convenience. Write a letter and stop by and drop it off. We have visited all of them, twice so far, and we plan to go back.

  2. Call them and email them at their offices -- keep up the pressure, and keep the phone lines busy and the email boxes full.

  3. Contact the media. Phone the TV stations or write a letter to the newspapers.

  4. Tell your friends and family about CCARL.com and what they can do to fight back with us.

Do whatever you can think of to keep this issue alive and talked about.

If you are still unsure that you want to make an actual visit to these men,
or if you are unable to travel, mailing a letter is also a very good idea.
The important thing is to fill their homes with messages from "We, The People!"
