The taxpayers of Hennepin County
have been FORCED to pay a 30-Year Sales Tax
all for the benefit of one man's private entertainment business.

These three men were the cause of that FORCED tax burden,
and they were up for re-election.
We chased their tails through the primary election, and we did our best to kick their behinds out of office in November.
Unfortunately, our efforts did not prevail.

So, now what happens?
We carry on and continue in our efforts.
If we are going to be forced to spend the next 30 years adding to the Pohlad family forturne, we will be spending our time reminding the taxpayers just who is responsible.
The Hennepin County Commissioners are not the only ones who need to be reminded just who it is that pays their salaries.
The list is long and contains names from every part of the State of Minnesota; names of people who were more than willing to waste the taxpayers time and money arguing and debating and fine-tuning the Stadium Tax Bill - a bill that should never have even been up for discussion in the first place. The Referendum Law should have been upheld
and a vote should have been given to the residents of Hennepin County.
But NO!
- A new stadium for Carl Pohlad was more important than the rule of law.
- A new stadium for Carl Pohlad was more important than We, the People.
- A new stadium for Carl Pohlad was more important than health care, education, roads, transportation, crime, and the prevention of identity theft.
While Rome was burning, the Neros were busy fiddling.
They need to be held accountable.

AND LET US NOT FORGET THE TWINS
The citizens of Hennepin County have just been forced into giving a private businessman 30-years' worth of our hard-earned money. But this obscene imposition of governmental tyranny was not just done to us by our elected officials. The Hennepin County Board of Commissioners and Minnesota State Legislature did not just dream up this scheme all on their own.
Our elected officials conspired, behind closed doors, with the Minnesota Twins. Refusing to accept the repeated statement of "No" from the taxpayers of Minnesota, the Minnesota Twins instigated and perpetrated this theft, and they should be held accountable also.
There has been nothing sportsmanlike about the decade-long battle the Minnesota Twins have waged against the Taxpayers of Minnesota, and there has been nothing democratic about the process of forcing the Taxpayers of Hennepin County to become the new, and unwilling, "local partners" of the Minnesota Twins.
Feel free to call and tell them that.

This is the phone number for Marquette Services, and goes right to his office. His assistant will tell you that they take all calls seriously, and will ask for your name, etc., so that they can allegedly respond to your concerns.
We called and said that what the Twins have been doing for the past decade (going after the taxpayers) was just evil, and that Carl Pohlad should pay his own way just like all the rest of us are expected to do.
